Customer retention software that starts from your billing data
Retention is decided in billing more often than it looks. A renewal that fails, a card that expires, a coupon that ends with a price shock, a cancel that nobody answers. RevenueLeak is a customer retention platform for subscription companies that reads your billing system read-only, finds every place customers slip away and runs the fixes you switch on, all measured in dollars of recurring revenue.
Why subscription retention starts in billing
Most retention tools begin with product usage and in-app messages. Those matter, but they miss the customers who never decided to leave. For a subscription business the billing system holds the clearest record of retention, who renewed, who failed, who downgraded, who cancelled and why. Starting there gives the retention team a list of accounts with a dollar value on each, from the first sync and without engineering work.
What the retention platform does
Each part covers one way customers leave, and each one runs on the same billing data.
| Part | What it handles | Page |
|---|---|---|
| Failed payment recovery | Retries by decline code and recovery emails | failed payment recovery |
| Dunning | Schedules, grace periods, in-app notice, final notice | dunning software |
| Card updater | Cards expiring in 30, 60 and 90 days | card updater |
| Churn reduction | Cancel reasons and save offers | reduce churn |
| Risk score | Accounts at risk from billing signals | customer churn prediction software |
Read-only by design
The connection uses restricted, read-only keys through the official API of Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly, Shopify or WooCommerce. We read invoices, subscriptions, prices, coupons, refunds, disputes and cancel reasons. Nothing in your billing account changes during the audit. Retries, emails and save offers run only after you switch a rule on, and each rule can be switched off at any time.
- Restricted keys with read permissions only.
- Write actions only per rule, after you turn the rule on.
- Your data stays yours, and you can remove the connection at any time.
Retention measured in dollars
A retention rate on its own does not tell the finance team what to do. Every number in RevenueLeak is in dollars per month. The audit shows recurring revenue lost to failed payments, to expired cards, to voluntary cancels and to cancels that followed a failed payment. After you switch rules on, the same report shows what came back and from which rule, so the retention work has a number you can put in a board update.
- Lost recurring revenue per leak category.
- Recovered recurring revenue per rule.
- Accounts still open, ranked by value.
Who uses it inside the company
Customer retention software is usually owned by several people at once, and each needs a different view.
- Founders and CEOs see one monthly number and the trend.
- Finance and RevOps get the audit as a document, exportable to CSV and, from Growth up, to a PDF report.
- Retention and growth leads switch rules on, edit save offers and watch the ranked list of accounts.
Seats depend on the plan, one on Starter, three on Growth, ten on Scale and fifty with roles on Enterprise.
Plans by MRR band
Plans follow the monthly recurring revenue you bill. Starter is 49 USD monthly or 24 USD per month billed yearly, for MRR up to 10,000 USD. Growth is 299 USD monthly or 149 USD per month billed yearly, for MRR up to 100,000 USD. Scale is 799 USD monthly or 399 USD per month billed yearly, for MRR up to 1,000,000 USD. Enterprise is 1,999 USD monthly or 999 USD per month billed yearly, for MRR above that, with SSO, an audit log and invoicing by bank transfer. Yearly billing saves 50 percent. The full comparison sits on revenue optimization software.
