RevenueLeak FAQ
Short, exact answers to the questions finance, billing and growth teams ask before they connect a billing system. If your question is not here, write to [email protected] and we answer by email.
Access and security
No. The audit connects with a restricted, read-only key or an app authorization with read scopes only. Retries, card updater emails and recovery emails run only after you switch a rule on, and each rule can be switched off at any time.
Read access to invoices, subscriptions, customers, prices, coupons, refunds and disputes, plus orders and abandoned checkouts for stores. A retry rule needs one extra permission, which you grant only when you switch that rule on. The full list is on revenue assurance software.
No. Billing systems share only the card brand, the last four digits and the expiry date, which is all the card updater needs. Card numbers stay with your payment provider.
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, connection keys are stored encrypted, and access inside our team is limited to what support needs. Every seat has a role.
Yes, on Enterprise. It adds SSO (SAML), roles for 50 seats and an audit log of every action taken in your account.
The estimate and the audit
The estimate applies a category model to your monthly recurring revenue, customer count, billing system and business type. Every rate is shown next to its category and you can edit it. It runs in your browser and stores nothing until you create an account.
The audit replaces the model with your real data. It reads your invoices, subscriptions, prices, coupons, refunds and disputes, prices each of the nine leak categories in dollars per month and lists the accounts behind every line. How each category is measured is on billing leakage.
Yes, and it usually does. The estimate shows what is typical for a business with your inputs. The audit shows what is actually happening in your billing account.
Once a month on Starter, once a week on Growth and every day on Scale and Enterprise.
No. The estimate on the home page costs nothing and needs no card. The audit and recovery are part of the paid plans, starting at 24 USD per month billed yearly.
Recovery and emails
Yes. We measure what built-in retries leave behind and add only what is missing, such as retries timed by decline code, card updater emails and recovery emails. See Stripe smart retries.
No. When your billing system already sends an email for a case, our email rule for that case stays off until you choose otherwise.
They can. Verify your sending domain in the app and recovery emails go out under your brand. Until then they go from our sending domain with your company name.
300 per month on Starter, 3,000 on Growth, 20,000 on Scale and 100,000 on Enterprise. Recovery, card updater and payment update emails share this limit. The mechanics are on failed payment recovery and dunning software.
Yes. Every step of every sequence has editable timing, subject and text, and you can exclude accounts, staff emails and test customers.
Billing systems and data
Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly, Shopify with its subscription apps, and WooCommerce with WooCommerce Subscriptions. Each one is described on billing integrations.
Yes. Usage-based invoices are audited like any other invoice, including failed payments, discounts and refunds on them.
Yes. Amounts are reported in each original currency and converted to USD for the monthly leak total and the plan band.
Yes. Growth connects 2 accounts, Scale 5 and Enterprise 20, with one combined report and a filter per account.
We keep billing data while your account is open, so audits can be compared over time. When you close the account, connections are revoked at once and billing data is deleted within 30 days.
Plans and billing
Pick the plan whose MRR band covers your monthly recurring revenue: up to 10,000 USD on Starter, 100,000 USD on Growth, 1,000,000 USD on Scale and above that on Enterprise. All prices are on revenue optimization software.
You see an upgrade prompt in the app. When you upgrade, the prorated difference is charged at once and the new limits apply right away.
Yearly billing saves 50 percent against monthly billing and is the default on the pricing page.
No. Limits count usage in the billing period, so deleting an audit or an email never returns quota. Quota renews with the next period.
Yes. Enterprise can be invoiced by bank transfer. The other plans are paid by card at checkout.
Account and cancellation
Yes, at any time, from your account settings. You keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are final, as described in the refund policy.
Recovery rules stop at the end of the paid period, connections are revoked and billing data is deleted within 30 days after the account is closed.
Write to [email protected], or open Help inside the app if you have an account. See contact for what to include.
